Few lines from a Beautiful song of The Great Kishore Kumar:

Kahan tak ye man ko, andhere chhalenge?
Udaasi bhare din, kabhi to dhalenge.

Kabhi sukh kabhi dukh, yahi zindagi hai,
Ye patjhar ka mausam, ghadi do ghadi hai.
Naye phool kal phir, dagar me khilenge.
Udaasi bhare din, kabhi to dhalenge.

Bhale tez kitna, hawa ka ho jhonka,
Magar apne man pe, tu rakh ye bharosa.
Jo bichhade safar me, tujhe fir milenge.
Udaasi bhare din, kabhi to dhalenge.

Kahe koi kuchh bhi, magar sach yahi hai,
Lahar pyaar ki jo, kahin uth rahi hai,
Use ek din to, kinaare milenge.
Udaasi bhare din, kabhi to dhalenge.

Kahan tak ye man ko, andhere chhalenge?
Udaasi bhare din, kabhi to dhalenge.

The King and The Moon

The King and The Moon

Once upon a time, there lived a king, who has a big estate and a lot of people worked under him. He has almost everything he wanted and needed. One night the king looked at the sky and the shining and luminous Moon got his sudden attraction, as that was the full moon night. The king got very much impressed by that unbeatable beauty of moon, he never thought that the moon is so much beautiful. He actually never looked at the full moon that way, as he accidentally did that night. The king stared at the moon all night until the moon got disappeared and the king fell asleep.

Next morning when the king woke up, he was very excited to see that moon again. But he could not find it in the sky. He summoned his prime minister and asked him about the moon. The minister said that it only comes in the night sir, and the only way to see it is in the night. The king waited till the night and looked that the moon was again there. He was happy to see it again. But the only thing he did not like that he needed to hold his head upward to look at the moon. He found it not at all suitable to do for a long time or whole night.

Next day he called the meeting of all the officials and ministers and told them the problem. He said I like very much to see the moon whole night, but I cannot hold my head up high all night to do that. This way I got tired and fall asleep. Now all of you think of the solution for this and tell me how can I stare at the moon without keeping my head in same position? Also I want to see the moon by relaxing myself that means by laying down in the bed or sitting in my comfort chair inside my room. Whoever among you all would tell me the solution; I will give him whatever he wants along with a huge amount of money. I give you one day to think of the solution and bring it back here tomorrow.

Now everybody was shocked and amazed that how is it possible to look at the moon without looking upward..? No one was able to think for any solution of this. There was a man who digs wells and ponds for the people in king’s estate. He also heard this problem and when he was digging a pond next day, he suddenly thought of a solution for that. Later that day he also went to the meeting where the king again asked that if anyone has any solution..?

No one was really able to speak anything as solution. Then this pond man said, “If I get the permission to say something, I have the solution for king’s problem.” Everybody was shocked that how this small pond digging man can tell the solution which the biggest and wisest ministers of king even could not. The king called him forward and told him that before telling the solution, make sure that it should work; otherwise you will be sent in prison for wasting the time and resources of everybody. The man agreed on that and asked the permission to tell his solution.

He told to the king that I can dig a pond inside your room wherever you want, and fill it with water. You also can put you bed and chairs nearby it and sit or lay down beside it. Now when the moon will come to the sky, its reflection will automatically come in the water of pond and you can see the moon in water in any relaxing position you want. As I will dig the pond such a way that it would be in your room as a part and also it would reflect the moon for you. Then he was permitted to do as he suggested, and by the night he did his job completed and at the same night, the king was comfortably sitting in his chair and looking at the pond water. As the moon came to the sky, its reflection was in the water as clear as it was in the sky.

The king was very happy and delighted by this man’s work. That night the king stared at the moon by his own relaxing positions and did not get tired. Next day in front of everybody, the king rewarded the man as promised and appreciated his intelligence and also offered him to be the official advisor of the king. The man said that he has no problem in being the advisor for king but then who will do his job of digging, since its not the job anyone can do. And without digging wells and ponds, there will be scarcity of water in the estate. The king again appreciated his kindness and his morals towards his duties. The king then announced him the official advisor but said that he also will be working his own work as it pleases him and is necessary for the people. The king provided him various means and tools to make his work easier, and everybody lived happily ever after.

The lessons from this story are that firstly, anybody can think of any solution, it doesn’t matter who he is. Secondly, start thinking of any solution with whatever is around you, as he did from his work, rather than to think from beyond the space. Every solution of your every problem is around you, you just need to identify them.
